Interesting Colt SA 41 colt smoothbore Poly Choke

I spotted this in a small shop in Phoenix today. Looks interesting: smoothbore with a very welldone choke. 41 Colt is a puzzler though why not 44-40 or 45 Colt for a bigger payload.

Last Month John Taffin mentions my Shark skin Silver Dollar Holster in American Handgunner.

Yesterday, I get a special copy of American Rifleman (I’m a Life Member) and on Page 88 Rick Hacker wrote up a visit to Gunsite’s Single Action Self Defense course. He used one of my Carved Sourdoughs and Rick Gittlein’s 120s.

Then Today, Jeff Quinn writes a full length article on my Croc skin Range Master that I made for his 4″ N frame S&W.

This is some research /prototype gear I made with my son in mind. I just picked up the Taurus 1911 for him from a friend.
Crocodile inlay on the holster croc overlay on the mag pouches. The spines are supple enough to lay down if he chooses

Jan & I searched the oceans for the best shark hide.

Then we hand picked each hide

I tested it for toughness and resilience

Sometimes it was tough to choose

This LH Range Master for a friend’s 4 5/8 Ruger Ft .44 special shown in MY FT with Walnut stocks. I am selling the Croc and shark covered holsters for 120.00 each the croc covered Most Versatile Pouch is 50.00. The photo doesn’t do this holster justice it is truly outlandish looking very primordial. The kind of holster you’d wear while hunting T-Rex.

because I didn’t want to have my right arm stuck down inside my waders when these guys come around.

Simply Rugged Customer Martin H. in Alaska with his Freedom Arms 454 in a Loaded Pancake with a hammer strap & the Chesty Puller System.

He didn’t have to shoot any bears, but was able to get a great picture of his “fishing partner.”
